I haven't heard from him, but if I do, I will try and put you in touch with these folks. Also the proprietress of Bug Hill Farm has an initiative that is not 100% off the grid but leans in that direction - she is building some new housing there.
I know only of two households off the grid - one is an acquaintance in rural Maine and the other is a single guy on the NH Seacoast. Admirable! I am sure if you are going to find this lifestyle, the Pioneer Valley is a likely locale. - Alice Buckner (alicebuckner.com)
