- How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
- Just joining Transition Newburyport
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- I am a lifelong conservationist, teacher, and writer (mostly of documentary films). I have been active politically in environrmental, peace, and energy issues and have come to the conclusion that nothing really effective will happen with a policy, top down approach. Transition's expressed and lived approach to all these issues as well as a clear eyed view of the need for a new economic paradigm makes sense, not only practically and intellectually, but spiritually and emotionally as well.
- How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
- I'm a communicator, a story teller and sometimes a teacher and i help people (and species) find voices and build bridges. I think some of my skill sets might be of service to the Transitions communities. I can also make some of the 'heavier' subject matter fun, which helps get the message out past the 'choir'

As you may know from our recent newsletter, Transition Newburyport is co-sponsoring a shorts film festival with our local community access station ... the Earth Port Film Festival. Since you have a background in film/video, I thought you might be interested in submitting and/or passing on the information to people you know who might be interested.
On another note, if you would like to meet at some time to explore how you might want to be involved with us, just let me know and we will schedule a time to get together.
