Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am not. I wish to be
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I have been an activist and progressive all of my life. To me, as peak everything and the end of growth converge, I see little choice but to build community. Now,More than ever before, we need to put our differences and egos aside and learn how we can help each other thrive well and survive gladly as a community. Let me be clear, tho' I am more than willing to be active in my neighborhood of Mission Hill, I am not Interested in taking on much of a leadership role. I've just gone sixty, and as with occupy, was happy to show up ans suit up, and leave the heavy lifty to the next generation.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I think we start small in this neighborhood. We show that we can work together outside of our political beliefs. The neighborhood has a vibrant and vital history of surviving. We are now begining to thrive. I wish we had a grange, truly.

Pictures of transition in action would be nice. We ( the MH community) now possess ( after a 30 agreement) a building, and I have been hoping to house at least a desk there for transition. There I go.breaking my own law. Ok, so maybe I volunteer a little time until it gets funded and we hire somebody.
