"Thank you for the warm words. It sounds like you have a lot of factors to weigh out, but the haven you'll no doubt create for you and your children will be all the more amazing because of it! I'm rooting for you :)"

"Haven't put much time into it lately unfortunately because I've had some rather tough things to deal with on a personal level, but looking forward to getting together with my girlfriend's folks soon so we can articulate some goals.…"

Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am part of an initiating group in Belchertown and have gained certification in Permaculture Design.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
It has become clear to me that true democracy can only take shape within small-scale, decentralized autonomies. After attending Transition training, I believe that such modes of governance can be attained through the movement and that it has the potential to be quite effective in helping us deal with our current crisis.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
Whatever gifts I can offer are available to help myself and others revitalize and redefine our lives within the rhythms of nature.

Thank you! Good energy to you too. May we all figure this stuff out well before the oil runs out!

I'm so sorry there have been tough times out your way.  I hope they have resolved or at least improved!

I have been having a difficult time deciding just how many goals I can reasonably include in my design. I have seven children living here with me so integrating living/playing space and plant/animal space could probably be my primary goal all by itself.  But it's been fun to think of the function stacking possibilities, using the children's gardens for educational purposes as well as food, or including growing tunnels for winter gardening and winter playspace for the kids, Fun stuff. It'll take me years to implement them all!

Absolutely! I'm so glad this forum exists and I hope people use it regularly. It seems to be a good source of some local events at least.
I saw Mattheo here as well though he didn't respond to me friending him. Maybe he doesnt visit often.

Hi Kev:

I've also joined Transition Pioneer valley, and Transition Northampton.  You may also want to think about Transition Holyoke.  Isn't that where you are learning your Permaculture?
