Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Just getting my feet wet. I do feel that any true change can only take healthy root at the level of community.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
As I stated above, community. The sense of community has all but vanished here in the US. I feel that when people work together at ground level, face to face as one conscious community, things happen within that enrich the lives of the whole.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
Carry the message in a non-political format, contribute skills and ideas.
Suggestions you have for improving our Registration questions -- getting to know you better.
We may want to state that this is in no way political, nor a global warming/climate change initiative. I believe this is detouring a great deal of people from looking more closly at the issues. The science isn't setteled... but it is obvious drastic changes are nessesary. People need to think for themselves and do research... stop being followers and collectivists! It will only lead to fudalism.. study history! Once they see the facts at the community level, they will figure it all out.

Hi Keith,

Welcome to the Transition Massachusetts Ning site. Your focus on community highlights a central tenet of the Transition model. Transition Newburyport provides many opportunities for community involvement; at some future moment I anticipate a separate Transition initiative in Salisbury.

Please read my post in the Forum area with instructions about how to most easily follow discussions on the Forum. You can find that post yourself in the Forum, under the title "Let's Strengthen our Transition Massachusetts community," or click here to view that post directly. Implementing the simple changes described will make it easier to stay connected with developing conversations on this site. Those conversations nurture our growing statewide Transition community.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
