- How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
- Yes. I am a part of Somerville Climate Action/Transition Somerville.
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- Our current economic and societal structure are deeply shaped by corporate influence on government and is making us unhappy, unhealthy and isolated, not to mention leading to irreversible climate change. The transition movement offers a positive way to harness our collective wisdom and create a future that is more aligned with human nature- a future where humans are happy and fulfilled and in balance with the rest of the ecosystem. It is a postiive and hopeful movement that reconnects neighbors, provides for the sustainability of a planet with humans on it, and is true democracy in action.
