"Just so you all know, I'm not sure that anyone in Transition Northampton is regularly monitoring this site. (I think some of the folks currently doing active outreach may not even be subscribed to this site at all.) I'm not…"
"well, I would very much like to have some ideas-- so I will keep my thinking cap on!
this seems a natural place to me, and so Im bewildered why not so for everyone else...
as it is, just posting might do the trick-- and this is tricky,…"
"There are so many different places people can respond to event "invitations" on the web (here, FB, TransitionUS, etc.) that not one of them gives an accurate indication in advance of how many people are likely to turn up.

Honestly, there are so many transition websites I find it rather confusing."
"well now, see?
Im very behind the times here-- where do you know of this? do you have a link to share here? Im only aware of the event via an email that someone sent me--and even at that, I really dont know yet WHERE it is in Northampton!"
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am spreading the good word and helping to build an initiative in Northampton.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
The Transition model has the rare qualities which history will prove to be the core in all the movements which guide us through these times of change: it is grassroots, inclusive, wholistic in scope and viral in nature.

Chris had a major computer disaster and lost all his email info and messages. He said he had an old message from you that he hadn't responded to but wanted to get back to you. Could you resend the original message please? Thanks for all you are doing to show the CC in Noho. I can't wait to hear about it! Give us a call with a summary of the event!
Hey Colin,
Today is pretty booked until about 4:00 or so. You around at that point? I will be swinging through town. Could also do tomorrow morning or early afternoon.
Would be interested in your thoughts.

Hi, Colin -
Send me an email at tinaclarke2[at]comcast[net]. We're finalizing dates and locations, and I'll send you the two different options in MA this spring.
One will be in April, one in May.
I look forward to meeting you!
Tina
Hi, Colin -
The Transition Towns training is for people interested in starting "Transition" in their community. The 2-day training teaches you the process used in the UK -- over 80 TTs now -- to bring large numbers of people in a community together to work on transforming their dependence upon polluting, non-renewable sources of energy (especially oil and natural gas, because its cost is expected to rise in the coming years). It's a wonderful, positive model that increases community "resilience" by supporting each person in giving their gifts.
I'll have one of the two top trainers from the UK joining me to provide the training. The cost is probably going to be $225 for the two days, with some scholarships available.
I'm also giving free talks on Transition around the VAlley, and there's lots of free stuff to peruse at www.transitiontowns.org. I'll give a talk in Noho on March 22 at 7 p.m. at First Churches on Main St. (enter side door across from the Iron Horse).
If you're interested in the 2-day training, send me an email at tinaclarke2[at]comcast[dot]net. Or call me at 413-863-5253.
Cheers,
Tina
