Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Currently reading and discussing...in the earliest stages of the creation of Transition Belchertown. Please contact me if you live in Belchertown and would like to join forces, or receive information on transitioning Belchertown!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I identify with the permaculture, food-growing aspects, the reduced-consumerism aspects, alternative energy, pretty much the whole shebang. I want to help promote local food, growing your own food, reducing waste, and help envision and create Belchertown to be the community we want it to be.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I vision myself as a local leader in the movement, in the early steering committee phase, and then participating in a couple of working groups. I'm interested in taking the Transition Town training in February 2011 by the local trainer Tina Clarke.

HI THERE!

You bet.  I see you're going the the seminar next month.  I have a steady job, but I'm taking the time and going anyways - to heck with them.    I know Tina pretty well.  So if you want to meet, that's great!  Monday - No problem.  Where and When??

I can't tell you how great it is to meet someone from B-Town interested in this, but I have to warn you, I'm a geek.  I'm just smart enough to see ahead - If I like nature, all the better!

Hi Amy,

Welcome to the Transition Massachusetts networking and information site. As a resident of Pioneer Valley, you may want to join the Transition Pioneer Valley group on this site. Several members from Belchertown are exploring starting a local Transition initiative.

Another great benefit of membership here is the exchange of ideas found in the Forum. I encourage everyone to follow these discussions and to participate. To learn how to most easily follow discussions on the Forum, please read my post (in the Forum) titled "How to use key features of this site most effectively." Click here to view that post directly.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
